In every technical regard, the 488 GTB is an improvement over the 458 Italia. It is not only significantly more powerful but also more efficient than its predecessor.
The main point of different between the two is the twin turbocharged 3.9 litre V8 of the 488 GTB in place of the naturally aspirated 4.5 litre V8 of the 458. Typically, the use of forced induction mutes the engine and exhaust notes of a car.
